Privacy, privacy.

Why this Policy Policy exists

OK, you’re here, and you’re interested in our Privacy Policy. This page is our Privacy Policy and it’s about how we use and protect your data. Don’t worry it’s not as long as the iTunes terms & conditions (apparently you can get these in the form of a graphic novel now.) This privacy policy sets out how we process and protect the personal information of our clients, those we work with and those we engage with electronically.

Who are we?

GoodWorkCompany Ltd’s mission is helping entrepreneurial leaders build strong company brands with marketing that works for people, planet, profit. We exist to help organisations grow profit, serve people and not harm the planet. We work with businesses, government, foundations, partnerships and charities. We help leaders and organisations harness the energy and expertise of their organisations and their brands. We create business models and marketing strategies, design brands and deliver digital assets, including photography. We use design thinking to help organisations succeed in a digital world. Before we go further, we just wanted to assure you again that this Privacy Policy is, hopefully, an OK length. For example, it’s not as long as Facebook’s privacy policy used to be - which was longer than the US Constitution. So, if you wish, do keep reading…

How do we collect information from you?

This policy covers information about or linked to people (a.k.a. personal information). It includes data we obtain from you, like your name, email address, phone number, IP address, mobile number or favourite pet. We obtain information about you when you use our website, when you directly give us any information online (if you fill in a form) or if you contact us by email. We may also obtain indirect data about you from other sources (for example publicly sourced data). The information we may hold about you may include: Information you provide to us by sending us a message through our website and information provided to us when you communicate with us electronically for any reason. If you contact us, we may keep a record of your email and other correspondence. Or information that you provide us as a result of filling in forms on our website, such as registering for information.

How will we keep your information secure?

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. We have put security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our control. We have put administrative procedures in place to allow only authorised personnel to access systems containing personal information. So I guess you could say that we’re not with Mark Zuckerberg, when he admitted, in 2010, that the age of privacy is over.

Will we share this information with anyone else?

Nope. Your privacy is important to us and we confirm that we will never release your personal details to any third party for their mailing or marketing purposes. We’re not in the business of flogging your data for a quick buck.

How is your information used?

Our communications may include news about our services or other initiatives. We may use your information: To provide you with information relating to our website, products or services that you request from us; to notify you about any changes to our website, including improvements, and service or product changes; to send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you; for our internal purposes including statistical or survey purposes, quality control, site performance and evaluation in order to improve our website. We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis.

What about links to other websites?

This website may contain links to other sites of interest. However, once you leave our site, we do not have any control over those other sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit. We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them using links from our website. Talking of links to other websites, these cartoons represent some gentle humour, bro.

What are your rights?

The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you change email address, or if any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please let us know by contacting us benefits@thegoodworkcompany.co.uk You have the right to request the details of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to delete it without undue delay. If you ever want to withdraw your consent to processing your info, please just emails us. When it is no longer needed for the purpose it was originally collected, we delete it. Please contact us at benefits@goodwork.company

Can I opt out?

Yes, of course. You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. We will not make contact unless you have opted in. Later, if you no longer want to receive emails, then you can change your preferences or completely unsubscribe in one of two ways: 1) Reply to any emails we send and ask to be removed from our database, or 2) Email us on benefits@goodwork.company

As you’re still here, here’s another thought for the day: there is a very real cost to humanity in reading all these privacy policies. In one study they estimated that if the average person read every privacy policy for every websites they visited it would take around 30 working days per person per year.

What is our policy about reviewing this policy?

This policy is effective now. We may change this policy by updating this page, so please check back occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes.

However it’s worth stating that this policy probably won’t change very often, but if we do change it, it might be just to add a few more links. Like this one: it could prove useful in the event that you stumble across a mountain lion. If you have any questions regarding this policy and our privacy practices, please contact us at benefits@goodwork.company
